Assistant Principals
Mr. Arthur Aven, Assistant Principal

This year is my 13th year in education and my third as an Assistant Principal at Aledo High School. I was a social studies teacher and coach in Arlington ISD before my move to AHS. I absolutely love being a Bearcat and being a part of this amazing community. I have a lovey wife at home, as well as a son who attends the Aledo Child Development Center. I am privileged to work in Aledo ISD and have the opportunity to serve our students and their families.
Mrs. Anita Callaway, Assistant Principal

Mrs. Callaway is starting her 30th year in education. She will be starting her 5th year as assistant principal at Aledo High School. Prior to serving in the administration, Mrs. Callaway served the Daniel Ninth Grade Campus for 14 years as an English teacher, speech teacher, and cheer coach. In 2013, Aledo ISD named her the Marva Collins Teacher of the Year. She has served in several other districts around the state. Mrs. Callaway holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Lamar University.
Mrs. Leticia Esparaza, Assistant Principal

This is my 16th year in education. I spent 10 years teaching high school math in various school districts before serving as a Post-Secondary Success Specialist for a year. For the past four years, I have had the privilege of serving as an Assistant Principal. I moved to Fort Worth from Katy in 2015, and since then, community involvement has been a cornerstone of my life. I serve on multiple nonprofit boards in Fort Worth and remain committed to giving back and supporting our community in meaningful ways.
Mr. Jared Laginess, Assistant Principal

Jared Laginess spent the last three years as the head principal at the International Leadership of Texas Keller K8 campus. Prior to that, he worked at various other International Leadership of Texas campuses as an assistant principal, instructional coach, reading specialist, and reading language arts teacher. He has also taught English at Dallas Skyline High School.
“I am very excited to join Aledo ISD because of its strong tradition of high achievement and the close-knit sense of community that makes it such a special place to learn and grow,” Laginess said. “I am eager to bring my experience and passion for education to Aledo.”
Laginess has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas and a master’s from Colorado State University.
