Musselwhite Named Aledo ISD Director of Human Resources
ALEDO, Texas, March 7, 2025 – Aledo ISD has named Aledo Middle School Principal Dr. Mandy Musselwhite as the district’s Director of Human Resources, filling a vacant position to lead human resources for Parker County’s second-largest employer.
Aledo ISD has nearly 1,000 employees that includes everything from bus drivers and maintenance workers to network security engineers, police officers, and, of course, teachers and classroom aides. Musselwhite brings 20 years of experience in education into her new role, including the last 13 years in Aledo ISD, 12 of those being in a leadership position.
She will finish out the 2024-2025 school year as principal at Aledo Middle School and transition into her new role in June.
“Dr. Musselwhite has spent the last 13 years as a Bearcat growing greatness in our district, and she’s been a valued leader on our Bearcat Leadership Team as principal at AMS for the last nine years,” Superintendent Dr. Susan Bohn said. “She has been committed to growing her leadership capacity, she excels at building relationships and creating a sense of community among her staff and students, and she is adept at establishing systems and structure. I am very excited about the future impact of her leadership on the critical HR functions of our organization.”
Musselwhite has been the principal at Aledo Middle School since 2016. Prior to that, she was an assistant principal at AMS for three years. Musselwhite joined the district in 2012 as a teacher at then-McAnally Intermediate School for one year.
Prior to joining Aledo ISD, Musselwhite began her career in education 20 years ago at Central Elementary School in Mabank ISD where she worked for two years. She transitioned out of the classroom into various leadership roles as an instructional specialist, assistant principal and math specialist in Mabank ISD, Tyler ISD and Everman ISD from 2006 to 2012.
“I am thrilled to step into the role of director of human resources,” Musselwhite said. “I am grateful for the opportunity to support and empower others, build strong teams, and make a meaningful impact for the staff, students and families of Aledo ISD. I am looking forward to finishing out the school year at AMS and then being able to watch our AMS Bearcat staff and students continue to succeed from this new position.”
Musselwhite holds a Master of Education degree from Stephen F. Austin University and a Doctorate of Education from Tarleton State University. While she is finishing out the 2024-2025 school year at AMS, she will begin transitioning into her new role and have additional support on campus from retired Aledo High School principal Dan Peterson for the remainder of the school year.
